8 Non-formal Basic Education Centers Provide Free Edu To 248 Nomad Children

SARGODHA, Mar 1 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st Mar, 2017 ) : Eight non-formal and Basic Education Centers have been established in the division where 248 nomad (gypsy) children are getting educating free of cost.
The centers have started across the division, after the efforts of Commissioner Sargodha division, Nadeem Mehboob to provide free education for the children of nomads. An official of Commissioner Office told APP that four education centers had been established in district Sargodha where 127 nomad children were being provided educational facilities, 76 children were being educated at two centers of the Bhakkar district and 45 children were being educated in two centers of Mianwali.
Four non-formal education centers have also been established in the District Sargodha including 2 in Bhalwal, 1 Lak Morh and 1 in Sahiwal, he added.
He said the district government had held a community meeting with the Field Staff Literacy Mobilizes of the Literacy and Non-formal Basic Education department and stressed the people for providing education to their children.
The education centers have been established near the residence of nomads for which they appreciated the efforts of Commissioner Sargodha, he said. The Commissioner Sargodha said that livelihood of neglected segment of society can be changed after providing education among nomad children.
Their lives would be changed after educating and they could also generate their own income resources after getting education, he added.
