ANF Seizes 1.116 Tons Narcotics, Arrests 27 In Different Operations

ISLAMABAD, Feb 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Feb, 2018 ) :Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized 1.116 Tons narcotics and arrested 27 persons including four ladies under its campaign against drug trafficking across the country.

The Force also impounded eight (08) vehicles while conducting 24 counter-narcotic strikes across the country. The seized drugs comprised 748.6 Kg Opium, 348.9 Kg Hashish, 17.2 Kg Heroin and 1.2 Kg Amphetamine.

As per details here on Sunday, ANF Quetta recovered 25 Kg Opium from mountainous area of Toba Achakzai Tehsil Deobandi District Qilla Abdullah. The drug was intended to be handed over to another narcotics gang.

Yet in another operation, ANF Quetta recovered 703 Kg Opium and 58 Kg Hashish from general area Killi Dolangi Tehsil & District Qilla Abdullah. As per initial reports, drug was intended to be handed over to another narcotic gang.

In third operation, ANF Quetta recovered 5 Kg Hashish, which resulted arrest of a drug peddler namely accused Noor Muhammad resident of Quetta. ANF Rawalpindi arrested an accused identified as Afzal Ali, resident of Gujrat at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad and recovered 1.1 Kg Amphetamine.

He was destined to KSA by Flight No. EY-234. In another operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Motorcycle near Sanjawal Chowk, GT Road, Attock and recovered 1.1 Kg Hashish from personal possession of accused.

In third operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 2 Kg Opium from personal possession of a lady accused identified as Mrs. Sabira, resident of Nowshera. She was arrested near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, GT Road, Attock.

In fourth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 5 Kg Hashish from personal possession of a lady accused namely accused Abida Parveen, resident of Faisalabad. She was arrested near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza, GT Road, Attock.

In fifth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of a male and a female accused identified as Miss Yasmeen and Shakir, residents of Khyber Agency. They were arrested near Gondal Bus Stop, Attock.

In sixth operation, ANF Rawalpindi recovered 4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the two accused identified as accused Imran Shah resident of Mardan and Miss Azra, resident of Peshawar. They were arrested near Gondal Bus Stop, Attock.

In Seventh operation, ANF Rawalpindi intercepted a Toyota Double Cabin at KFC, F-10 Markaz, Islamabad and recovered 6 Kg Heroin which was tactfully concealed under seats. Two accused persons were arrested at the spot namely Muhammad Tufail and Mumraiz Khan, residents of Peshawar.

ANF Lahore arrested a Nepali foreigner identified as Suk Bahadur at Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore destined to Colombo by Flight No. UL-186 on suspicion of ingestion of narco filled capsules.

He delivered 101 Heroin filled Capsules, weighing 990 grams. In another operation, ANF Lahore recovered 490 grams Heroin from a parcel being sent abroad through a courier service company near Khadim Road, Sialkot.

The seized Heroin was tactfully concealed in a Jacket. In third operation, ANF Lahore recovered 130 grams Heroin from personal possession of the accused, identified as accused Asif Rasheed resident of Lahore.

He was arrested near Haji Sardar Machli Saddar Goal, Lahore. In fourth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Toyota Corolla GLi car near Qaid-e-Azam Park, Sargodha Road, Chiniot and recovered 2 Kg Heroin along with a person namely Asif Ali, resident of Chaniot.

The seized drugs was tactfully concealed in secret cavities of the said car. In fifth operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Suzuki Swift Car near Chak No. 5, GB Kamalpur, 51 South Motorway M-3 Faisalabad and recovered 10 Kg Opium and 40 Kg Hashish which was recovered from personal possession of the accused, identified as Twab Khan and resident of Peshawar.

In sixth operation, ANF Lahore recovered 500 grams Hashish from personal possession of accused identified as Sajjad Sarwar resident of Sialkot. He was apprehended near China Chowk Pasroor Road Sialkot.

In seventh operation, ANF Lahore intercepted a Truck near Jalla Chowk, Tandianwala Road, Faisalabad, recovering 211 Kg Hashish and 7 Kg Opium concealed in secret cavities of the Truck. Two persons on- board namely Arshad Ali and Muhammad Malik Cheema, residents of Sheikhupura were also apprehended during the operation.

ANF Peshawar recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of accused namely Muhammad Iqrar, resident of Khyber Agency. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar. In another operation, ANF Peshawar intercepted a Suzuki Pickup near Mian Sahib Hotel Ring Road, Peshawar and recovered 3.6 Kg Heroin from personal possession of the arrested three accused identified as Amin Shah, Muhammad Abbas and Raees Khan, residents of Peshawar.

In third operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 800 grams Opium and 2.4 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused identified as Said Umeer, resident of Khyber Agency. He was arrested near Motorway Toll Plaza Peshawar.

In fourth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 800 grams Opium and 3.5 Kg Hashish near Motorway Toll Plaza, Peshawar from Toyota Hiace and arrested an accused Muhammad Hamza, resident of Jhang. Drugs was concealed in audio speaker of the vehicle.

In fifth operation, ANF Peshawar recovered 1.2 Kg Hashish from personal possession of the accused namely Noor-Ud-Din, resident of Khyber Agency. He was arrested near main gate of the Educational Institute.

ANF Karachi arrested an accused near Memon Society, Karachi and recovered 4 Kg Heroin from personal possession of accused identified as Muhammad Asif, resident of Karachi. In another operation, ANF Karachi recovered 12 Kg Hashish from a drug den situated in Bismillah Colony near Landhi Railway Station, Karachi.

All cases have been registered at respective ANF Police Stations and further investigations are underway.
