The death anniversary of Barrister Saifullah Khan was observed with reverence and respect here on Thursday

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2019 ) :The death anniversary of Barrister Saifullah Khan was observed with reverence and respect here on Thursday.

Beside, the sons of late Barrister Saifullah Khan, his sons including former Federal ministers Saleem Saifullah Khan, Hamayun Saifullah Khan, Anwar Saifullah Khan and Senator Usman Saifullah Khan, a large number of the sympathizers of late Barrister Saifullah Khan, local elites and locals attended the ceremony at large.

On this occasion, Qur'aan Khwani and fateha were offered for the eternal peace of late Barrister Saifullah Khan.

Addressing the ceremony, Saleem Saifullah Khan and other speakers highlighted the political and business related services of late Barrister Saifullah Khan and paid him glowing tributes for the development of southern districts and industrial development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

They said that late Barrister Saifullah Khan waged joint struggle for the establishment of Pakistan along with Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Nawabzada Liaquat Ali Khan for which he and his wife Kalsoom Saifullah were awarded a gold medal.

The speakers also recalled the role of Barrister Saifullah Khan, his wife Kalsoom Saifullah Khan and their family in the crucial in the success of the referendum in North-West Frontier Province (NWFP).

They said that Barrister Saifullah Khan had also rendered memorable services in education sector of the province and several intelligent poor students carried out their education on the scholarships issued by him and then served the nation and country.

In his address, former Senator Usman Saifullah Khan said that the services rendered by his grand-father for the nation and country would be always remembered in history. In response to his services, the people of Bannu elected him to the National Assembly in 1962 and elevated to the office of federal minister.

He said that his family through establishing Kohat Textile Mills, Bannu Flour Mills, Frontier Textile Mills and other industrial units accomplished the dream of his grand-father Barrister Saifullah Khan and provided employment to thousands of people.

Anwar Saifullah Khan and Hamayun Saifullah Khan in their addresses pledged that Saifullah Khan family will utilize all available resources for the progress and development of the southern district.

They said that the construction of Kurram Tangi is the dream of Saifullah Khan family, which would be constructed in any circumstances. The dam will not only produce 68 mega watt electricity rather will also bring more than 300,000 acres barren land under cultivation.
