Expo To Help Increase Country's Agricultural Export: Langrial

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jan, 2020 ) :Punjab Agriculture Minister Malik Nauman Ahmed Langrial has said that "Pakistan Horti Expo 2020" will prove to be a good platform for increasing the country's agricultural export.

He said this while inaugurating the agricultural Expo "Pakistan Horti Expo 2020" here at Expo Centre Johar Town.

He said the present government was taking all possible steps for the development of agriculture sector. He said various projects worth Rs 300 billion were being implemented for the prosperity of farmers under Prime Minister Agriculture Emergency Programme.

Nauman Langrial said the expo would be helpful not only for growers but for importers and exporters as well.

Punjab Agriculture Secretary Wasif Khurshid said that the Expo would not only give business opportunities to all stakeholders of horticulture sector but business to business meeting opportunities as well.

He hoped that this exhibition would help in increasing the demand of Pakistan's agricultural products in international markets.

He said, "Punjab Agriculture department holds two annual international Expos just to increase export of country's agricultural products." It is pertinent to mention here that more than 100 stalls have been set up in the Expo and 60 companies are participating in this exhibition.

More than 3,000 progressive farmers, delegations from Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, Indonesia, Polland, Egypt and Ukraine also participated in the Expo.
