Govt. Providing Conducive Environment To Investors Including E&P Companies: Prime Minister Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday said the present government was committed to provide an enabling environment to all the investors to take advantage of the existing opportunities in various sectors of Pakistan including exploration and production (E&P) sector.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Dec, 2018 ) :Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday said the present government was committed to provide an enabling environment to all the investors to take advantage of the existing opportunities in various sectors of Pakistan including exploration and production (E&P) sector.
He said the government was focusing on improving ease of doing business and facilitating business community in every possible manner.
The Prime Minister expressed these views during a meeting with Executive Vice President Central Asia Region of ENI, an Italian multinational oil and gas company, Luca Vignati who called on him at Prime Minister's Office.
Luca Vignati was accompanied by Angelo Ligrone, Managing Director ENI Pakistan Ltd, Kamran Ajmal Mian and Shaheen Chugtai, PM Office media wing in a press release said.
The Prime Minister welcomed ENI's interest in expanding its business said that there was a huge potential for the E&P companies, especially the leading companies of the world, to take advantage of the growing energy needs of the economy and the presence of huge hydrocarbon reserves in the country which had remained unexplored so far.
Luca Vignati briefed the Prime Minister about ENI's activities in exploration and production sector in the country since 2000.
He also apprised that Eni Pakistan had invested in a range of projects for the development of local communities in areas where it held exploration and development/production licenses and was mainly contributing in health, education, environment and socio-economic development.
He said that ENI was keen to further expand its business especially in LNG and offshore exploration and production with the latest technologies.
