Investigation Into Havelian Plane Crash Underway: CAA Spokesperson

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) while referring news reports appeared in the media on safety recommendations prepared by Safety Investigation Board (SIB), in view of flight PK-661 crash near Havelian in 2016, has said that the investigation of the Havelian accident has still not been finalized

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jan, 2019 ) :A spokesperson for the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) while referring news reports appeared in the media on safety recommendations prepared by Safety Investigation board (SIB), in view of flight PK-661 crash near Havelian in 2016, has said that the investigation of the Havelian accident has still not been finalized.

In a statement on Friday, the spokesperson said that various aspects of complicated nature of 2016 plane crash near Havelian were under discussion/analysis to ascertain Primary as well as secondary causes of the accident.

The objective of the issuance of immediate safety recommendations by SIB is to avoid recurrence of accidents like Havelian plane crash, he added.

The flight PK-661 had been crashed near Havelian on December 7, 2016, carrying 48 people including Junaid Jamshed.
