JI Wants Increase In Education Budget

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Oct, 2017 ) :Education budget must be increased from 2% to 5% as no nation could develop without spending on education and health sectors, said Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Siraj ul Haq here Wednesday.
Addressing Student Convention at Liaquat bagh, Siraj said every government made tall claims of bringing betterment in the field of education but the rulers had not allocated a significant amount for it in the national budget.
JI Ameer said Liaquat Bagh had significant importance in the country's political history as the blood of first Prime Minister Khan Liaquat Ali Khan was shed here.
He said JI had a comprehensive plan for bringing betterment in education sector.
If JI comes into power, the government will bear the education expenses of students studying in government educational institutions, he said. He said the government should punish those involved in changing the clause of Khatam e Nubawat and demanded that the committee set up under the chairmanship of Raja Zafar ul Haq must expose those behind the conspiracy.
He also demanded of the government to revive student unions in colleges and universities as students are the future leaders.
