JKLF Condemns Detention Of Pro-freedom Leaders, Activists

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Oct, 2016 ) : Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) has condemned the continued illegal detention of pro- freedom leaders and activists in Indian occupied Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, JKLF spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar, terming the ongoing arrest spree as frustration of the authorities said, "Ailing party Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik continues to remain in solitary confinement in shabby Joint Interrogation Centre, Humhama, against the advice of doctors." Similarly, he said, the JKLF Vice Chairman Advocate Bashir Ahmad Butt, who is suffering from diabetes and has to take insulin daily, and other party leaders, Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi and Muhammad Yasin Butt have been lodged at Srinagar Central Jail.
Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Bashir Ahmad Rather, Fayaz Ahmad Mir, Shabbir Ahmad Ganai and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir after being booked under PSA are languishing in Jammu jails, the spokesman said.
He also condemned the continued illegal house detention of the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and other pro- freedom leaders and activists.
Meanwhile, JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement expressed grief and sorrow over the death of the son of party leader, Ashraf bin Salam. Salam's son, Junaid Yousuf Waza, 23, passed away on Monday night after a brief illness.
JKLF leaders including Mushtaq Ajmal, Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi and Muhammad Sideeq Shah visited the residence of Ashraf Bin Salam, attended the funeral prayers of Junaid and expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
