
KE Installs Power Transformer

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th August, 2016) : The K-Electric has successfully installed a new 40 MVA Power Transformer at the Aga Khan Grid Station for its consumers residing in adjoining areas.
The work for newly installed Transformer was awarded to M/s Siemens. The total transformation capacity of this grid is 120 MVA & at present 80 MVA is available, out of which 40 MVA is reserved for Aga Khan Hospital & Medical Services. The additional capacity on the Aga Khan Grid will smoothen electricity supply for residents near Civic Center, Baloch Colony, Bahadurabad, PECHS, KDA Scheme 1, Gulshan amongst other places.
Spokesperson KE said on Monday that the power utility remains committed and will ensure to provide better services to KE's consumers.
The 132 kV Aga Khan Grid Station was only constructed last year and has now officially doubled its capacity with the help of this new Transformer. The inauguration was performed by Chief Generation & Transmission Officer Dale Sinkler along with Head of KE Projects Bilal Mirza. Also present at the ceremony were representatives of Siemens and the Aga Khan Hospital.
