KP Initiates Action Against Industries Paying Fewer Wages To Labors

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government while taking a serious notice of payment of less than Rs15,000 per month to labors has initiated action against 252 industries in the province
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2018 ) :The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government while taking a serious notice of payment of less than Rs15,000 per month to labors has initiated action against 252 industries in the province.
According to details issued by the commerce and industries here on Friday, the action was initiated against 133 industries in Peshawar, 55 in Mardan and 18 industries of Swat district.
The Chief Secretary had issued instructions for ensuring minimum payment of Rs 15,000 payment to labors for all industries of the province.
For compliance of these instructions 650 industries of KP were inspected among which 34 were found closed since November last while 616 were in production state. It was found from the schedule of the banks that 364 industries were complying with orders of the Chief Secretary. Cases have been registered under Labor Act against the industries paying less than Rs15000 to working labors.
