The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police have issued the annual performance report of Tenant Information System (TIS) according to which the police as per report completed registration of 40348 houses under the TIS during the year 2018.
As per directives of the Inspector General of Police, Salahuddin Khan Mehsood, the registration of houses under TIS was carried out with missionary zeal and spirit and police ensured entry of completed data of the family of the new comer to a particular area or city into the police record.
As per the report Peshawar excelled by registering 8,635 houses followed by Abbottabad with the figure of 6,242 and Mardan 5,789 houses, respectively. Similarly, the registration of the houses completed by other districts included Charsadda 939, Nowshera 1581, Swabi 1416, Swat 2687, Buner 504, Shangla 1, Dir Lower 430, Dir Upper 78, Chitral 173, Haripur 1906, Mansehra 775, Battagram 3, Torghar 1, Kohat 3478, Hangu 390, Karak 52, Bannu 72, Lakki Marwat 4, Tank 39 and DIKhan 5153.
In ongoing war against terrorism, the Tenant Information System on the part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police is considered the best professional policing and widely welcomed both at national and international level.
One of the biggest benefit of the system is that complete data of the family of the new comer is entered into the police record at police station level and strict watch is being carried out on his/her daily activities and movement.
Peshawar police have computerized all the data of tenants which is a single click away to get complete bio-data of the tenants living in Peshawar. This system has also proved a milestone in smashing the terrorists' dens, identity of suspects without putting the innocent general public introuble and thus ultimately led to dwindle down terrorism cases in theprovince.
