LPG Distributors Association Announces Strike

LAHORE, Nov 7 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Nov, 2016 ) : LPG Distributors Association Pakistan (LPGDAP) on Monday announced to halt distribution of LPG across the country from November 21, in protest against the behaviour of police, civil defence and city district government with LPG dealers.
Addressing a joint press conference at a local hotel, LPGDAP president Irfan Khokhar and Awami Rickshaw Union president Majeed Ghouri said that city governments were trying to shut the shops of LPG sellers and on the other hand Police personnel and civil defence officers were receiving extortion from the sellers.
They said the government should take notice of the situation, otherwise rickshaw owners would also stage protest across the country. Irfan Khokhar said the LPGDAP would move the High Court against the factories involved in preparing sub-standard cylinders and exploitation of LPG sellers by the police and other departments.
