NAB Gives Rs 34.52 Mln Misappropriated Funds Of IDPs To FDMA

PESHAWAR, Nov 9 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 09th Nov, 2016 ) : National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunhwa (NAB-KP) on Wednesday handed over Rs 34.52 million cheque to Director FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA).
The amount was provided for payment of compensation to displaced persons of FATA but was misappropriated.
Director General NAB-KP Shahzad Salim while handing over the cheque Director FDMA Mukhtiar Khan said that the NAB officials succeeded to recover the amount after thorough investigation from the culprits, adding that corruption very adversely affect the fabric of the society.
He said the menace of corruption cannot be wiped out until and unless the awareness is not created among the masses. The NAB was established by the government to take action against corrupt practices and to bring the corrupt element to justice, he said and added that NAB is implementing a comprehensive strategy to curb corruption from society.
