An official source of DEA told this news agency on Wednesday that the objections would be scrutinised within 4 days followed by a final merit list for transfer.
The source informed that academic results do count a lot for transfer as it makes 40 percent of total 100 marks adding that 20 marks for seniority, 15 marks each for compensation for physically challenged persons or for widows etc and 15 for wedlock policy and 10 for distance from teacher' s home.
The appeals are also entertained after the scrutiny, the source said and added that wedlock policy was for teachers in intra district.
Transfer of female teacher is preferred under this policy, the source informed adding that for married teachers the condition of staying in a school for three years was also waived off in case of transfer.
It is worth mentioning here that Punjab government had relaxed transfer, posting ban in school education department in October last.
