Pakistan Post Foundation Issued Commemorative Stamps Book

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News -8th Sept,2016) : Pakistan Post Foundation (PPF) has issued a book, `Commemorative postage stamps on Armed Forces on Pakistan' a collection of all the stamps issued so far paying tribute to armed forces since 1947 to till date.
The book comprised of 68 stamps with the first three stamps issued on October 25, 1965 in recognition of the countless services paid by the Pakistan Army, Navy and Air force in the 1965 war against India.
The stamps with the title `Salute to Army' had a denomination of 7 paisa, the second one with the title `Salute to Navy with denomination of 15 paisa and third one `Salute to our Air Force' with denomination of 50 paisa.
The last stamp of the book is `The first anniversary of the gruesome incident Army Public school, Peshawar' issued on December 16, 2015. The denomination of the stamps is Rs. 16 with the written message on the stamp `Sacrifice-Resilience-Hope' and `Shall Rise and Shine'.
The book gives detailed explanation of each stamp with complete background and pictorial display to apprise general public with the services of national heros and incidents in which connection the stamps were issued. The price of the book is Rs. 1000. The book has a great attraction for the people fond of keeping stamps record which is designed and printed by PPF.
