RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2018 ) :Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) have completed the project of green belt along Nullah Lae whereas the project is funded by PHA.
Talking to APP, PHA Director Horticulture Sheikh Tariq said the authority has four kanals of land along Nullah Lae which has been developed for the project. The project comprises a green area where proper plantation has been made to make the area more attractive for citizens as a recreational site, he said.
Tariq said PHA has aimed at making the city green and eco-friendly. It is now the responsibility of the citizens to cooperate with the authority in securing various parks and recreational sites of the city.
He said the citizens should also realize their responsibility as well to keep the public parks clean and should not damage any public property. He said PHA has remained successful since its creation.
The well-maintained parks, green belts and roads of the city are its proof. The citizens have welcomed the initiative taken by PHA as most of the abandoned lands of the authority were turned into garbage dumps while the green belts would help to create scenic view of the city.
