Pb Police Proud Of Its Martyrs: IGP

LAHORE, Aug 3 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 03rd Aug, 2017 ) : Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Capt (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan on Thursday said the department was proud of its martyrs who sacrificed their lives to end terrorism and crimes, and protect lives of people.
Addressing the candlelit vigil at Liberty Roundabout to pay tribute to the police martyrs, he said the martyrs were the asset of the country. "Sacrifices of our martyrs will not go waste and the terrorists will fail in downing our morale", the IGP said.
He said wellbeing of the families of police martyrs was our responsibility, and the responsibility would be fulfilled at every cost. The IGP said the department was utilizing its all available resources to redress the complaints of people.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Capt (retd) Amin Wains, other senior police officers, members of civil society including women and children were also present. Later, the participants offered "Dua" for the martyrs.
