Police Arrest 13 Kite Sellers, Kite Flyers; Seize 1221 Kites

RAWALPINDI, Feb 8 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Feb, 2017 ) :- Rawalpindi Police in its crackdown against kite sellers and kite flyers on Wednesday arrested 13 persons, and seized 1221 kites besides 42 kite flying string rolls from their possession.
According to Rawalpindi police spokesman, Waris Khan police held Azkar, Sadam, Umar Farooq for having 31 and string rolls. Sadiqabad police netted Hamza for having 50 kites, Zain with 20 kites, Noor Wali with 290 kites, Iqbal with five kites.
Naseerabad police arrested Owais and recovered 300 kites and kite flying string rolls.
The spokesman said, Civil Line Police on the special directive of City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi conducted raid and netted Imran with 20 kites and string rolls.
Airport police also apprehended Numan with 14 kites. Gujar Khan police recovered 480 kites from the possession of Adnan. Waris Khan police seized 11 kites and rounded up Amir Shahzad. He said, the raids would continue to ensure implementation on the law of ban on kite flying. Strict action in accordance with the law would be taken against the rules violators, he added. APP/azh/azm
