Prime Minister Imran Khan Inaugurates Online Visa System To Attract Investment Into Pakistan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said issuance of online visa in the country was a first step toward Naya Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News / NNI - 14th March, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan has said issuance of online visa in the country was a first step toward Naya Pakistan.'Launching an online visa regime to promote tourism and investments into the country, PM Khan said it was mindset believing acquisition of Pakistan's visa was a difficult task.
"We need to change mindset of the investors so they could come to Pakistan and make an investment here," he added.He stated that issuing of online visa is a major step towards bringing real change as it would open the country to the outside world.
Imran Khan it also shows that Pakistan is a peaceful and stable country and open to the world for business and tourism.He said people arriving from the United Kingdom loved Pakistan's tourist destinations.
The prime minister said the beautiful region of Gilgit Baltistan of Pakistan is twice the size of Switzerland and there are still many unexplored areas in the area.The prime minister religious tourism was equally important.
He said a task force on tourism would also explore new tourist destinations in the country.Imran Khan hailed country's armed forces, security institutions and intelligence agencies for restoring peace in Pakistan.
"We expect betterment in ties with India after general elections there," he added.He said Pakistan might face some problems until elections were held in India.
"Whenever elections are held on the basis of hatred, problems spring up in its wake," he added.
He remarked that an atmosphere of self reliance was very much alive in Pakistan during the 60s as "our industrial productions was higher than many countries."He recalled that the situation changed drastically after the 60s when the same countries superseded Pakistan in industrial productions.
PM Khan also said all Pakistan Super League will be held in Pakistan from 2019.According to report approximate of 175 countries will be able to apply for an e visa; however as of now the facility will be available for a total of five countries comprising of Turkey, China, Malaysia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, China and Malaysia, from where can apply for a visa via email for an $8 fee.On the other hand, the list of countries for business visas has also been elongated from 48 to 96 which will later be increased to 170 countries, as revealed by information minister Fawad Chaudhry."Ninety countries will be offered business visa, while 55 countries will be granted visa on arrival.
Visa fee has been reduced significantly to attract more and more tourists to Pakistan," Fawad Ch stated earlier.The Information Minister had also announced that Karachi and Lahore airports have been installed with passenger identification systems, which later be set up in airports around the country as well.
