ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Nov, 2016 ) : Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha has said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had no evidence against Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as his name was not mentioned in the Panama Papers.
The Supreme Court had asked PTI's lawyer Hamid Khan to present documented evidence about the offshore companies allegedly owned by the prime minister, but he could not do so, Ranjha said speaking in a private tv programme.
He said although the name of the prime minister was not mentioned in the Panama papers yet but he presented himself for accountability. The PTI, he said, was just doing politics on Panama Papers for political point scoring.
He said PTI chief Imran Khan and leaders Jahangir Tareen and Aleem Khan also owned offshore companies. Ranjha felicitated the newly appointed Governor of Sindh Justice (R) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui, who he said, was an impartial person.
