Punjab HEC To Promote Research Culture, Dr Nizam

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th August, 2016) : Punjab Higher Education Commission Chairperson, Dr. Mohammad Nizamuddin has said that PHEC aims to focus on the promotion of research culture through enhancing the skills of faculty in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Addressing a meeting here on Monday, Dr Nizam said PHEC was on the right track and successfully pursuing its goals.
PHEC was expecting to work in close collaboration with the Federal HEC to achieve the common objectives for the promotion of higher education in Punjab.
Talking on the initiates of Punjab HEC, the Chairperson said HEC was focusing more on the capacity building programs of HEIs and it aims to enhance the standards and quality of research and academia in HEIs.
He further stated that since its inauguration by Chief Minister, Punjab HEC had achieved many milestones in a relative short span of time. Instead of relying on the quantity of work, the PHEC was committed to focus its attention on the quality, he concluded.
