River Kabul Continues To Flow In Low Flood:Federal Flood Commission

The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that all main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal while River Kabul which continues to flow in Low Flood in Warsak-Nowshera reach.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2018 ) :The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that all main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal while River Kabul which continues to flow in Low Flood in Warsak-Nowshera reach.
According to daily FFC report on Monday, the actual river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevations of 1420.17 feet and 1124.10 feet respectively, which are 129.83 feet and 117.90 feet below their respective Maximum Conservation Levels of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.
According to FFD, Lahore, yesterday's Monsoon Low over Orissa (India) has moved slightly westwards and lies over central Orissa (India). Seasonal Low lies over Northeastern Balochistan, whereas moderate moist currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 5000 feet.
As predicted by the FFD, Lahore, scattered wind thunderstorm/rain with isolated moderate to heavy falls are expected over the upper catchments of Rivers Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej, besides, Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Gujranwala Divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Peshawar Division) and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
Isolated wind thunderstorm/rain may also occur over Punjab (Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur & D.G. Khan Divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Hazara Division) including upper catchment of River Indus and Southeastern Sindh during the same period.
Scattered wind thunderstorm/rain with moderate to heavy falls at isolated places are expected over the upper catchments of all major Rivers (Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi & Sutlej) including Punjab(Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha & Lahore Divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (HazaraDivision) and Kashmir during the period from July 17th to 19 th July 2018. One or two very heavy falls are also expected over Rawalpindi, Gujranwala & Lahore Divisions during the same period.
