Two Ships Carrying Palm Oil Reached At PQ

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2016 ) : Two ships CMA CGM Corneille and CT Confidence carrying containers and 11,830 tonnes palm oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Thursday.
Berth occupancy was observed at the port at forty seven percent on Thursday where a total of seven ships namely ships CMA CGM Corneille, Diamond Sea, Hoanya Wisdom, Cretan Wave, Globe Tanya, CT Confidence and New Naxos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, sun flower seeds, LPG, palm oil respectively during conainters, cement, rice, sun flower seed, LPG, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 83,540 tonnes, comprising 63,328 tonnes import cargo and 20,212 tones export cargo inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,045 containers TEUs) 1,113 import TEUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
Three ships, LPG carrier, Globe Tanya, oil tanker New Naxos and container vessel CMA CGM Corneille sailed out to sea on Friday morning while two more ships, edible carrier CT Confidence and Bulk cargo carrier Diamond Sea are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Five ships, E.R Tianping, Maersk Innoshima, BBC Luanda, Safe Sino and Bahra carrying containers, project cargo, palm oil and diesel oil are expected to take berths at container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Friday, while LNG carrier Gaslog Shanghai is due to arrive on same day and container vessel TG Poseidon is due to arrive on Saturday.
