WASA Responsible For Clean Drinking Water Supply To Abbottabad: Commissioner

ABBOTTABD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2017 ) : Commissioner Hazara Muhammad Akbar Khan on Wednesday said provision of clean drinking water to citizens of the district was prime responsibility of WASA as all resources had been shifted to the authority.
Chairing a meeting regarding clean drinking water supply here at his office, he said directed WASA to make sure adequate provision of clean drinking water to the people and overcome water scarcity issue through tube-wells and permanently resolve the water supply issue.
On the occasion, the commissioner enquire about the state of tube-wells in the city and got the briefing on the repairable, irreparable tube-wells and illegal water connections.
The Commissioner directed WASA to complete Jandar Bari gravity water flow scheme at earliest to resolve the clean drinking water issue in the district.
He further asked WASA to ensure availability of adequate water supply to all three union councils of the district and take strict action against all those service stations who were using clean water for washing purpose.
