Water inflow in rivers surges to 403,900 cusecs

Water inflow in all major rivers has significantly increased on Saturday and it stood at 403,900 cusecs against outflow of 306,900 cusecs.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2018 ) :Water inflow in all major rivers has significantly increased on Saturday and it stood at 403,900 cusecs against outflow of 306,900 cusecs.

According to the data released the Indus River System Authority (IRSA) water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1405.51 feet, which was 19.51 feet higher than its dead level of 1,386 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 212,800 cusecs while outflow as 140,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1121.

50 feet, which was 81.50 feet higher than its dead level of 1,040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 49,200 cusecs and 25,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 172,500, 173,100 and 35,600 cusecs respectively.

Similarly from the Kabul River, 53,800 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 55,100 cusecs from the Chenab River at Marala.
