Lok Virsa Mandwa Film Club To Screen Film 'Rangeela Aur Munwwar Zareef'

National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) Mandwa Film Club would organize screening of film "Rangeela aur Munwwar Zareef" on Saturday. A memorable classic from 1973, the film was produced by Shabab Karanvi and directed by Nazar Shabab, while M. Ashraf had composed beautiful music featuring voices of Noorjahan, Runa Laila, Nayyara Noor, and Ahmad Rushdi.

A memorable classic from 1973, the film was produced by Shabab Karanvi and directed by Nazar Shabab, while M. Ashraf had composed beautiful music featuring voices of Noorjahan, Runa Laila, Nayyara Noor, and Ahmad Rushdi.

As it is apparent from the name , the film revolves around the two main characters of Rangeela and Munwwar Zareef, who while being kings of comedy genre, bring a social dilemma to silver screen, to combine a narrative on personal choices with their hugely popular brand of comedy.

Saiqa, Mumtaz and Shaista Qaiser also appear in prominent roles. Some memorable songs include "Kaisay Jaadu Kar dia Mastani aankhon walay ne", "Khirki se chobaron se Jhanka na Karo".
