Bahauddin Zakariya University Holds Inter Varsities Kabaddi Tournament

An inter varsities kabaddi tournament opened at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) here on Friday.

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Nov, 2018 ) :An inter varsities kabaddi tournament opened at Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) here on Friday.

BZU Acting VC Dr Masood Akhtar inaugurated the tournament in which 10 teams were participating.

On the opening day, University of Faisalabad defeated Comsats University Sahiwal by 7-26 while in another match Garrison University Lahore beat Animal University Lahore by 20-30.

In the third match, the University of Lahore had a slim lead of 30-33 against BZU while Punjab University won against Peshawar University 10-24.

The semi final and final will be played on Saturday wherein BZU Registrar Dr Omer Chaudhary will be chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Masood Akhtar said that it was an honour for the BZU to organise a tournament of Punjab traditional sport Kababddi.

He said that the varsity was playing its effective role to promote sports.
