China suffered the third straight loss Friday at the 2019 IIHF World Championship Division II event when they lost to hosts Serbia 6-5
BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2019 ) :China suffered the third straight loss Friday at the 2019 IIHF World Championship Division II event when they lost to hosts Serbia 6-5.
Both teams recorded two defeats in a row before their meeting on Friday.
After the first period, China were leading 2-1 and extended their lead to 5-2 in the second period through Yang Mingxi, Chen Lei and Xia Tianxiang's shots.
However, in the last period, Serbia brought on all their attack, scored 4 goals including 2 within the last 2 minutes of the game, defeating China 6-5.
After three rounds, China are bottom of the standings in the six-team Group A. The team will battle against current group leaders Australia on Saturday.
