New Delhi, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Oct, 2018 ) :India's Khalin Joshi hit an eight under par 64 to join Siddikur Rahman of Bangladesh at the top of the rankings after three rounds of the Panasonic India Open on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Joshi recorded three of his nine birdies in the last five holes to leap up the standings at the Delhi Golf Club.
"I hit it pretty well off the tee and the putting was also good, so overall the game is in good shape," said Joshi, who has never won on the Asian Tour.
"I'm happy with the way I'm playing." Rahman managed a two-under-par 70 but did enough to hang on to his overnight lead with a total score of 13-under 203.
Rahman, who has two Asian Tour wins including the 2013 Indian Open title, said his experience would count on the final day.
"I got off to a great start with three birdies in a row. Dropped a few shots after that but all in all, it wasn't too bad," the 33-year-old said.
"It will be a fearless day tomorrow. I have a lot of experience playing in the leader group before so that won't matter to me."Local favourite Ajeetesh Sandhu (70) held on to third spot while Thailand's Suradit Yongcharoenchai (72) slipped from his overnight joint lead to fourth position.
The event is the second leg of the Panasonic Swing, an aggregate points race that spans five events in Thailand, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan.
