Moscow Aware About Attempts To Engage Kabul In Expulsion Of Russian Diplomats - Ambassador

Moscow has learned about attempts to drag the Afghan authorities into a campaign of expelling Russian diplomats, Kabul did not succumb to this provocation, Russian Ambassador to Afghanistan Alexander Mantytsky told Sputnik in an interview.

"We should commend the Afghan leadership, they often do not succumb to provocations of the West.
We have learned that there were attempts to drag them into a campaign of expelling Russian diplomats, but they did not give in and stood by their opinion," Mantytsky said.
The ambassador added that Moscow had learned about attempts of various actors to impose a negative image of Russia and its policies in the region on the Afghan people.
"It is taking place constantly, and such a campaign is carried out not only in Afghanistan, but throughout the world," he noted.
