Forest Department To Plant 86.1 Mln Saplings In Division Sargodha

The Forest department was striving hard to make plantation campaign successful and in this regard, 86.1 million saplings would be planted during next five years across the division.
A Forest official briefed here in a meeting that out of total target, 480,000 saplings would be planted in surroundings of the roads while 4,582,000 saplings at 2861 miles Canal banks.
He said that 24.2 million saplings would also be planted on 20,000 acre private land adding that 12.5 million plants on 11950 acre areas of the Forest department while 44.3 million saplings on the forest department's nurseries.

7 million plants would be reserved in 22 nurseries of the department for 2019-20 plantation campaign.
The Commissioner Sargodha Mehmood Hassan has also directed the concerned officials to plant maximum saplings adjacent to roads and all Canal banks while remove bushes.
He also reviewed Clean and Green Punjab campaign continued in all four districts of the Sargodha division.
All Deputy Commissioners were also present in the meeting.
The brick kilns will also be closed till December, 30 and only Zig Zag technology will be allowed so that smog threat could be countered, he added.
