National Highway Authority planted 38,850 saplings along its network

In line with the directives of State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has planted 38850 saplings till date along its roads network.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Oct, 2018 ) :In line with the directives of State Minister for Communications Murad Saeed, the National Highway Authority (NHA) has planted 38850 saplings till date along its roads network.

According to NHA official, the Authority is making practical advancement with regard to afforestation programme along its network. "75 Day Action Plan includes 180,000 saplings to be planted in different phases along National Highways and Motorways", he added.

According to details, 38,850 saplings have been planted to date which include 10,000 saplings at Hakla-D.

I.Khan Motorway, 13,600 plants along Pindi Bhattian-Gojra, Lahore-Islamabad Motorways, 4,000 saplings at Hazara Motorway and 11,250 plants along Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway. The plantation activity will continue by first week of December 2018, he added.

Chairman NHA Jawwad Rafique Malik is taking personal interest in plantation campaign whereas the Authority has already planted 7000 plants under "Plant for Pakistan" programme.
