MIANWALI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th May, 2018 ) :The ostrich farming will help fulfil nutritional requirements of people in near future, as the Livestock and Dairy Development Department would provide farmers with Rs 10,000 subsidy per bird.
Ostrich farming is being considered a profitable business which has low cholesterol, fat, protein levels compared with chicken, Deputy Commissioner Shozaib Saeed said here Friday while chairing a meeting.
The ostrich farming can be started with 25 birds. Each bird gains weight of 100 kilogram in 10 months, he said adding that its taste was similar to goat meat and it is the best for human health.
