SBI Chairperson Naheed Memon Addresses Members Of American Business Council

Chairperson of Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Naheed Memon has said that the Sindh government is moving aggressively to transform the regulatory environment of the province with the aim to make Sindh an easy and most competitive place to do business.
KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) :Chairperson of Sindh board of Investment (SBI), Naheed Memon has said that the Sindh government is moving aggressively to transform the regulatory environment of the province with the aim to make Sindh an easy and most competitive place to do business.
She said this while speaking in a roundtable discussion with the members of the American Business Council (ABC), said a press release issued here on Tuesday. The SBI Chairperson addressed to the members of the ABC on invitation of the Council.
The discussion revolved around SBI's role with regards to doing business reforms, special economic zones and investment opportunities in Sindh particularly in Karachi. While, talking about investment opportunities in Sindh, Naheed Memon said that the government has formed Sindh Investment Climate Improvement Cell (SICIC)- a dedicated unit for execution of the reforms agenda.
The SBI Chairperson, who is also the focal person for Doing Business Reforms in Sindh said that this reform is a part of the larger plan developed with the help of World Bank to introduce Doing Business Reforms at the Federal and provincial levels.
On the occasion, in a presentation of the American Business Council of Pakistan (ABC), it was informed that the American Business Council is one of the largest investors group in Pakistan- currently, they have 65 members and most of them are fortune 500 companies.
They operate in various sectors including healthcare, financial services, information technology, chemical & fertilizers, energy, FMCG, food & beverage, oil & gas and others.
