Shipping Activity At Port Qasim 29 Jan 2019

Shipping activity remained active at the Port where four ships including MSC Heidi, MSC Portugal, Ogino Park and Aamriya carrying Containers, Chemicals and LNG were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Monday, 28th January
Meanwhile, four more ships that were MSC Maria Elena, Spar Rigel, Port Macau and Gaspion Gas with Containers, Steel product, Coal and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
A total of thirteen ships occupied berths at PQA to load/offload Containers, Rice, Coal, Soya Bean Seeds, Chemicals, LPG, LNG, Palm kernel and Palm oil respectively.
Out of thirteen four ships, MSC Portugal, GNG Concord, Frederike Oldendroff and Bum Shun were sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, and three more ships King Craft, IVS Naruo and MSC Heidi are expected to sail on same day.
Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 173,863 tonnes, comprising 141,128 tonnes imports cargo and 32,426 tonnes export cargo, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,587 Containers (TEUs), (2,022 TEUs imports and 1,565 TEUs exports) was handled at the Port.
Eight ships including MSC Maria Elena, Maersk Kensington, Nord Chesapeake, Observator, Pedhouas Trader, Horizon, Gaspion Gas and Lokoja carrying Containers, Coal, Soya Bean, Palm oil, LPG and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, PIBT, PQEPT, FAP, LCT, SSGC and PGPCL respectively on Tuesday, 29th January.
While a container vessel MOL Grandeur is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday, 30th January.
