Education Associations Formulates Action Committee, Threatens Protest In Peshawar

A meeting of College Teachers Association, All Teachers Grand Alliance, All KP Boards Coordination Council, Private Schools Association and Commerce College Teachers Association demanded government of addressing their concerns and announced a protest to press demands.
PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Apr, 2018 ) :A meeting of College Teachers Association, All Teachers Grand Alliance, All KP Boards Coordination Council, Private Schools Association and Commerce College Teachers Association demanded government of addressing their concerns and announced a protest to press demands.
A ten member joint committee was also announced under the headship of Abdul Hammed. The committee was tasked to start negotiations with the government for resolving issues confronted by all the stakeholders, said a release issued by Press Secretary of the committee, Anas Takreem on Tuesday.
The meeting demanded immediate resolution of demands and decided to launch a joint struggle against education-damaging policies of provincial government.
The program of the protest would be announced on April 5 in a press conference, he said.
Alliance also discussed matters relating to issuance of package to college teachers, board reforms, restoration of ten percent quota on scheduled posts, time scale with service structure and lacunas in laws of Private Schools Regulatory Authority.
Meeting decided that a common agenda would be announced for the struggle on April 5 and provincial government would be informed through a formal letter regarding demands of the alliance. Participants also urged KP Chief Minister to take notice of the injustices done to education sector, and discriminations committed with education sector employees.
