Govt Spends Rs 900 Bln In Education Sector: Baligh Ur Rehman

Minister for Education Baligh ur Rehman on Wednesday said the present government had spent Rs.900 billion to bring improvement in education sector.
ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2018 ) :Minister for Education Baligh ur Rehman on Wednesday said the present government had spent Rs.900 billion to bring improvement in education sector.
Double budget had been provided to all the provinces for enhancing quality of education in their respective areas, he said talking to a private news channel. The Punjab had played leading role and performed well in the education sector, he said.
The government had provided the missing facilities and furniture to educational institutions besides ensuring wash rooms there, he said. The minister said the Federal government had supported the Sindh province in various projects including modern transport system.
To a question regarding Quetta blast, he said it was a tragic incident in which several people had lost their lives.
The minister said the present government after coming into power had invited all the stakeholders and formulated a policy to eliminate the menace of terrorism in the country.
The law and order situation in Balochistan areas had been improved due to the efforts of the Army and law enforcement agencies, he added. To another question, Baligh ur Rehman said people would vote to those parties and leaders who had performed and delivered well in their respective areas of governance.
The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government after coming into power in 2013 elections had focused on many sectors and worked for the welfare of masses, he added.
