Higher Education Commission Must Review PhD Policy: Dr Zafar Iqbal

UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa here on Tuesday said that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) should review its PhD policy Keeping in view unemployment of PhDs.

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Nov, 2018 ) :UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Zafar Iqbal Randhawa here on Tuesday said that the Higher Education Commission (HEC) should review its PhD policy Keeping in view unemployment of PhDs.

Speaking at a seminar on "self-assessment report", arranged by the Quality Enhancement Cell, UAF ,he said that research for the sake of research made no difference in the lives of the people.

He said that until 1960s, the people of Pakistan had been enjoying prosperity. But after that, with each passing year, the socio-economic condition deteriorated.

QEC Director Amir Jamil called for increase the budget of education.

He said that quality education will pave the way to fight the challenges of the modern era.
