As part of its efforts to bring the students from underprivileged areas of Pakistan into the mainstream of education, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in collaboration with Army’s Southern Command (Quetta) and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) inaugurated the Balochistan student outreach programme 2018 here on Friday

Quetta (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 22nd June, 2018) As part of its efforts to bring the students from underprivileged areas of Pakistan into the mainstream of education, National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in collaboration with Army’s Southern Command (Quetta) and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) inaugurated the Balochistan student outreach programme 2018 here on Friday.

This is the second batch of students enrolled from various districts of Balochistan under the NUST Outreach Programme, first being graduated in 2017. The 4-week coaching programme, scheduled to be held from June 21, 2018 to July 20, 2018, will enable the selected students to compete with the students from more developed areas of Pakistan, and qualify for admission at NUST, the premier higher education institution of Pakistan.

Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, HI (M), Commander Southern Command, graced the occasion as chief guest. Prominent among others present were Managing Director PPL Mr Wamiq Bukhari, Pro-Rector Academics NUST Dr Asif Raza and senior civil and military officers.

The chief guest termed the NUST outreach a landmark initiative that will go a long way in providing equal opportunities to the youth of under-served areas of the country.
