BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jan, 2019 ) :Vice Chancellor, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Prof-Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum distributed laptops among students under Prime Minister Laptop distribution scheme at Bahawalpur regional campus.

Addressing the laptop distribution ceremony the VC said our youth should equip them with modern technology.

He opined that no nation could progress without introducing latest research tools for development.

"The nations and countries which have been ranked as developed, got their goals after conducting research through modern technology," he said.

The VC said online education system and internet had got special importance in our life.

Regional Director, AIOU Bahawalpur, Khawaja Sabir Hussain said AIOU was playing an important role for promoting of education level in the country.

"People who cannot regularly take classes at colleges and universities due to different reasons, could equip them with modern education with the help of AIOU," he said.
