OGDCL Sets Up Medical Camp For Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has setup free mammography camp for breast cancer diagnosis at Women and Children Hospital Karak on December 4.
The patients diagnosis with cancer disease will be hospitalized in Cancer Care Hospital Lahore to provide free of cost medical treatment as per international standard.
The camp is setup after reports of rising number of cancer patients in the district.
Shahid Khattak, Member National Assembly Karak, taking notice of cancer patients said in a statement that oil and gas exploration companies have been directed to expand social welfare and healthcare projects across the district due to rising number of ailments in the region due to water contamination and exploration activity in district Karak.
He said that cancer ratio is rising in Karak due to pollution.
He said that he would pursue construction of cancer hospital in Karak for facilitationof the people.
