37 Lawbreakers Including Six Gamblers, Five Suspected Dacoits Held

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2018 ) :Police in their crackdown against anti-social elements have arrested 37 lawbreakers including six gamblers and five suspected dacoits besides recovering 5470 grams charras, 145 liters liquor, eight pistols 30 bore with 41 rounds, one 12 bore repeater, a 9mm pistol with eight rounds, fireworks items, six mobile phones and Rs 11500 cash stake money from their possession.

According to a police spokesman, Pirwadhai police held Waqar for having 1800 grams charras, Bilal on recovery of 1700 grams charras and Farhan with 1550 grams charras.

Taxila police rounded up Akhtar for carrying 20 liters liquor and another accused with 10 liters liquor. Airport police netted Asad and Ibrar and seized 10 liters liquor. Naseerabad police arrested Aziz, Mumtaz, Ashir and Javed for having 10, 10, 20 and 10 liters liquor respectively.

Other accused were sent behind the bars for possessing liquor, drugs, weapons and fireworks items.

Airport police acting on a tip-off conducted a raid and rounded up six gamblers namely Riasat, Mohsin, Irfan, Usama, Ali Raza and Altaf who were allegedly involved in betting while playing cards. Police also recovered six mobile phones, Rs 11500 cash stake money and other items.

Meanwhile, Airport police on an information raided in Kuri Road Graveyard area in its jurisdiction and held Fazal ur Rehman, Moman Khan, Bilal Khan, Dilbar Khan and Asif Khan who were suspected dacoits. Police recovered five 30 bore pistols and 25 rounds from their possession.
