The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that all main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Sep, 2019 ) :The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that all main rivers including Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi and Sutlej are flowing normal.

According to daily FFC report on Thursday. Tarbela and Mangla reservoirs are at elevation of 1542.63 feet and 1219.40 feet respectively which are 7.37 feet and 22.60 feet below their respective maximum conservation level of 1550.00 feet and 1242.00 feet.

The present combined live storage of three main reservoirs (Tarbela, Chashma & Mangla) is 11.437 million acre feet (MAF).

Yesterday's low pressure area over coastal Andhra Pradesh (India) has moved Northwestwards and lies over Southern Chhattisgarh (India).

Seasonal Low lies over Balochistan. Moderate moist currents from Bay of Bengal are penetrating into upper parts of the country upto 5000 feet.

According to Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), Lahore, scattered thunderstorm/ rain is expected over upper catchments of all major rivers including Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad Divisions of Punjab andMalakand, Hazara & Peshawar Divisions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours.
