PESHAWAR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 01st June, 2019) Construction work on Mohmand dam has been started which will be completed within 6 years.Chairman WAPDA Muzammal Hussain has said as many as 6000 employees will be appointed for the construction of dam.
Rs 4 billion will be spent on local population.
We could nor preserve water unfortunately and 90 percent water is going to be wasted.According to WAPDA representatives of Chinese company have also reached following the commencement of construction work.800 mega watt electricity will be generated from Mohmand dam and the cities including Charsada, Nowshehra, and Peshawar will become secure from floods.
16737 acres land will be cultivated yielding income to the tune of Rs 51.6 billion per annum.
