Country's People Hail Supplementary Finance Amendment Bill: Senate Told

Leader of the House in the Senate Shibli Faraz Thursday said that people from different walks of life have highly appreciated the Finance Supplementary (second amendment) Bill, 2019, presented in both houses
Replying to a point of order in the Senate, he said that the treasury benches had been trying its level best to smoothly run the affairs of the house with active participation of all ministers.
He said that due to cabinet meeting, ministers could not reach the house in time. He pointed out that several parliamentary parties' leaders were not present in the house.
Earlier, Senator Raza Rabbani criticized the government benches over non presence of ministers concerned at time of discussion of Finance Bill besides senior officials of the ministries concerned at galleries.
On which, the Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said that senior officials of the ministries concerned were present in the galleries.
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Raja Zafar-ul-Haq said that despite important nature of discussion on Finance Bill, many ministers concerned were not present in the house.
Senator Azam Swati said that there was a decision of the house that the discussion on finance bill would be held on Friday due to which ministers were absent from today's proceeding of the house.
Later, the opposition parties staged a walk out on non presence of ministers. On pointing out quorum by Senator Ashok Kumar, the Chairman Senate suspended the house proceeding as thehouse was not in the quorum.
