Court Adjourns Case Against Shafqat Cheema Till Nov 11

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 04th Nov, 2016 ) : An Accountability Court of Islamabad Friday adjourned hearing of a corruption case against former director Foreign Office, Shafqat Cheema till November 11.
AC Judge Nisar Baig heard the case against former Director Foreign Office for allegedly making assets beyond the income. The counsel for Shafqat Cheema, Amjad Iqbal Qureshi advocate appeared before the court.
The accused was to be charge-sheeted last day but his counsel appealed the court to issue directives for returning the seized record that was taken from the office and home of his client.
He claimed that Shafqat Cheema had not committed any offence, saying that he would prove his client as innocent as soon as the seized record was returned.
After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the case hearing till November 11. It may be mentioned here that corruption cases were registered by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against Shafqat Cheema for allegedly making illegal assets beyond the income.
