Czech Republic Model Awarded 8 Years, 8 Months Jail Term In Heroin Smuggling Case

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th March, 2019) Arrested foreign model Teresa has been awarded 8 years and 8 months sentence in heroin smuggling case.Additional session judge Shehzad Raza gave the judgment against foreign model in heroin smuggling case.Court while awarding accused sentence of 8 years and 8 months in jail also imposed fine of Rs 1, 13,000.

Court remarked that prosecution has proved the attempt of Teresa to smuggle heroin while model could not prove herself innocent.Court acquitted suspect Shoaib upon inadequate evidences.On the other hand, model has the right to challenge this decision in the Lahore High Court.Deputy Director of Czech Republic embassy was also present during hearing of the case.It is vital to mention here that the decision in heroin smuggling case was reserved on March 12.Foreign model was arrested on Jan 10, 2018 in an attempt to smuggle 8.5kg heroin.
