Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th December, 2018) Pakistanis continue to face cyber crime at the hands on international companies who continue to defraud them.
According to media reports, the fake international companies are defrauding the Pakistani people in grab of providing them employment opportunities.
The fake companies get the data of the people through online job portals or buy data from various websites and misuse it.
The job applicants are issued offer letter through e-mail where they mention good salary and ask them to fulfil medical conditions. They ask the applicants to pay Rs 9,000-10,000 in medical fee and send them to medical centres in Pakistan where they undergo medical examination.
Eventually, the companies fail them in medical test and collect money in the grab of medical fee.
Media reports said that none of the companies in Dubai seek medical examination from Pakistan. Instead, they get them tested in Dubai.
In this way, the fake international companies loot the Pakistani citizens while Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cyber crime wing does not take any action against this fraud.
