MIRPUR (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 06th Jan, 2017 ) , Jan 6 (APP) : AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Friday expressed grave concern over deteriorating situation of the human rights in Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir and urged international community to take serious notice of Indian state terrorism in the held territory.
He was speaking as chief guest at the International Parliamentary Seminar on Kashmir organized by the Young Parliamentarians' Forum (YPF) of the National Assembly of Pakistan on Friday. Paying rich tributes to the valiant freedom loving brethren in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the AJK Prime Minister said we salute the brave, valiant and courageous men, women and youth of Kashmir who laid their lives for the sacred "cause of freedom" in the last 70 years.
He said all the "Indian brutalities" and "atrocities" have failed to deter the people of Kashmir from their cause for freedom from "Indian oppression". He urged the international community to fulfil its promise made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir 70 years ago.
Farooq Haider said peace in the region would remain elusive until the resolution of the Kashmir dispute. Kashmiris are not alone in this struggle against oppression. We stand by them diplomatically and morally and Kashmir will definitely see a dawn of freedom, he added.
He said, "the silence of the international community has emboldened the Indian state further which is extremely painful." The AJK PM paid rich tribute to the martyred civilians in the Indian occupied valley in the way of liberation of the motherland from the Indian yoke.
He said people of occupied Kashmir have been striving for their right to self determination since 1931 in general and since 1989 in particular by offering all kinds of sacrifices and enduring all kinds of hardships.
"These sacrifices will bear fruit and Kashmiris will see the dawn of freedom provided we stay united, firm in our resolve and patience," Farooq Haider added. Indian occupation forces are at war against unarmed people in the occupied valley.
Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in his written speech read out during an International Parliamentary Seminar on Kashmir organized in Islamabad by the Young Parliamentarians' Forum (YPF) of the National Assembly of Pakistan, said that hundreds of thousands of people had lost their lives since the start of the dispute in 1947 and the phenomenon was still going on.
The non-resolution of the dispute has also become the main reason of enormous sufferings of the people in Kashmir, he said. The Mirwaiz said that being the main cause of tension and the core issue between India and Pakistan, the Kashmir dispute had become the basic reason for a race of acquiring weapons and war machinery for both the countries.
He also expressed gratitude to Young Parliamentarians' Forum for inviting him as a guest speaker to the seminar. He said that he would love to personally participate in the event but due to continued refusal by the Indian government to issue him passport he was unable to participate in person.
