Hassan Askari Takes Oath As Caretaker CM Punjab

Educationist and Political Scientist, Prof Dr Hassan Askari Rizvi took oath as the caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Punjab here on Friday.
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jun, 2018 ) :Educationist and Political Scientist, Prof Dr Hassan Askari Rizvi took oath as the caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Punjab here on Friday.
Governor Punjab Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana administered the oath to the interim Chief Minister during a solemn ceremony at the Governor House.
Hassan Askari was chosen by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) after treasury and the opposition failed to develop consensus on the name of interim CM.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Punjab Chief Secretary Capt (Retd) Zahid Saeed, Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Amir Riaz, representatives from the Naval, Air Force and the senior Civil Administration officials attended the ceremony.
A large number of senior journalists were also invited to the oath taking ceremony.
